The exhibition « The Middle Ages in comics » realized in partnership with the Friends of John the Fearless of Paris 's Tower invites the audience to discover the appropriationn by the Flemish and French-Speaking writers of Comics Strips during thousand years of history. It sheds on the representations and the clichés of its writers during these long period. What is the Middle Ages. What are the historical events, the myths and the legends the most adapted for the screen? Who are these medieval hereos? Are they existed are they derived from the collective imagination or those from the artist? What are they talking about? Simply amusing and enthralling, instructive, edifying stories or tainted of humour even of satire? Trough didactic boards, French-speaking and Flemish Comics Strips, from the fifties to present days and a few of orifinals, the visitor is going to learn the links betwen miedeval History and Comic Strip
