the gué du Han du Han ford

The gué du Han du Han ford is located at the mouth of the Moulin Hideux brook and it used to open the way the the huge forest of Bouillon. (it is one of the longest fords on the Semois). On the left bank, a redoubt was set up in 1695 in order to watch the river that had become the border of the kingdom of France. A shelter for barbecues has been built, still long the GR16 that goes along the Semois on 8 km up to Bouillon, passing by Les Enclaves, the Locaillou oakn the Buhan peninsula, Les Burnelles and Grimouty, on a unique forest route dominated by broad-leaved trees.
